For the third year in a row, Mrs Clarke will be running a marathon on Friday 4th May- this will again take place from the Blue bridge up to Millennium bridge and back. All pupils will run a mile with Mrs Clarke and Mrs Dibden during the school day. We are asking that children get sponsored for their run.
This year we are raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Every day around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. This is a dedicated charity which helps them through this time by providing expert treatment and support. We think this is an amazing charity for us to support.
Letters and sponsor forms will be coming home soon. Or if you prefer to donate online Mrs Clarke has set up a justgiving page at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/christina-clarke2
On May 4th all pupils need to come into school in their sports gear and trainers ready to run! Please send them with a waterproof coat in case it rains.
If you would like to run with Mrs Clarke please feel free to turn up on the day. She will start at 8.15am and should finish by 2.45pm.
We need volunteers to stand at the half way point, ensuring that pupils turn round at the right place and to cheer the runners on. We also need volunteers to help take the Early Years full timers for their run and back again. Finally we need year 5/6s who are willing to come in early and run! Please look out for letters to sign up for this.
If you would like to cheer your child on here are the running times:
