After our fundraising and fancy dress efforts, we got a lovely letter from the Carecent organisation to say thank you.

“Dear Friends at Fishergate School,

On behalf of the staff, volunteers and customers at Carecent, I am writing to thank you for your recent donations and for inviting me into school to judge your fancy dress competition on Valentine’s Day.

It was really great to come in and see you all, and to see all the people that you had dressed as because you love them – choosing just two winners per class was almost impossible and I really wish that you could all have won a prize!

 The items you gave us were fantastic and what we needed, and there was so much of it that my car was completely full.”

So, what did we collect?

• 29 tins of fruit
• 45 tins of tomatoes
• 31 tins of meat
• 42 tins of soup.
• 96 tins of beans!
• 2 BIG bags of shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, gloves and hats
