Autumn House Competition
This week saw the first round of this year’s house competition, with children competing for one of their four sporting houses – Brilliant Beckhams (Blue), Ennis Elites (Red), Magic Murrays (Green) and Superstar Simmonds (Yellow).
The children took part in football and netball tournaments within their Key Stage phase, as a culmination of their PE work over the Autumn term. At the end of each tournament, the winning team were awarded 4pts, 2nd 3pts, 3rd 2pts and 4th 1 point.
After the first round of competition the house team standing are as follows:-

Global Fortnight in 3/4
In September, a Year 3/4 class studied Japan as their global country. The children had great fun experiencing the Japanese culture with the help of special visitors.
The children took part in a traditional tea ceremony; dressed in kimonos; learnt the art of paper folding-origami; made sushi; took part in a karate lesson and enjoyed many more aspects of this culture.
