Memory Walk: Jenny Baldock

On Friday 13th October we will be having a Harry Potter themed non-uniform day in memory of Jenny Baldock who sadly passed away last year. All pupils are invited to come into school dressed as a character out of Harry…

Carecent: A huge thank you!

Thank you to everyone who donated tinned: beans, tomatoes, fruit and meat, along with marmite, jam, cereals, porridge oats, shampoo and shower gel (plus other useful items!) for Carecent.

Nicky from Carecent came to collect all the donated items last Friday and we filled 2 car loads! She said that all the donated items will be used and will tide the charity over until harvest time. Carecent are in a crisis at the moment as they have unfortunatey lost a lot of stock, so what we, as a school, donated will go towards feeding homeless people and other disadvantaged people in our community over the coming months. So…

A HUGE THANK YOU! Once again you have shown what a generous community minded school we are.

Fishergate’s Got Talent 2017

Thank you to all acts, staff, parents, carers, friends and family who helped to make our first Fishergate’s Got Talent an amazing success.

All 14 acts, ranging from hula hooping to drumming to dancing to Bjork’s ‘It’s oh so quiet’, performed fantastically on the night. They performed with confidence and all supported each other.

We had approximately 180 people in the audience watching the show. We raised £350 which will go towards a buddy bench for school. This will be put in the playground in the Autumn term in memory of our lovely lunchtime supervisor Jenny Baldock.

Thank you everyone….and look out for Fishergate’s Got Talent 2018!!!

Star Wars Marathon 2017

The amazing Mrs Clarke and Mrs Wilson ran a whole marathon down by the river on May 4th.  They were joined by an army of Fishergate mums and dads as well as the whole school.  Each child from Year 1-6 joined in with the running fun and ran a mile with our marathon heroes!

This year’s marathon was run in support of Cancer Research UK.  Thank you to all the children and their families for supporting this cause through sponsorship.
