On Thursday 4th May Mrs Clarke and Mrs Wilson will be running a marathon along a route near school, during the day all Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils will be running a mile with them.
We are asking that children get sponsored to run this mile- with all monies going to Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is a fantastic charity which offers invaluable support to cancer patients and their families, as well as funding scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner.
Please can pupils ask their friends and families to support them on this run: sponsor forms have been sent home or you can donate online at the following address:

All pupils need to come into school dressed in running gear. You can wear shorts, football shorts, t shirts, leggings, tracksuit bottoms- it’s up to you. WEAR SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN RUN IN; ARE COMFORTABLE IN AND WARM ENOUGH IN FOR THE WHOLE SCHOOL DAY.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST WEAR TRAINERS TO RUN!
The marathon day last year was a great success and we know that with your support again this years marathon day will be even better. Thank you! And thank you to all those parent and carers who have volunteered to help out on the day.
Good luck to all children- remember it doesn’t matter if you come first, the day is all about having fun and raising money for Cancer Research UK. So….
SPECIAL THANKS TO DAN FISHER GLAZING WHO HAVE BROUGHT ALL THE MEDALS FOR THE CHILDREN THIS YEAR- THANK YOU!
