Betty, 90, was invited in to school by two pupils from Year 6 who found out that Betty was turning 90 and decided to ask her to look around her old school and to have tea and cake!
Betty visited the school with her daughter Sue and went into every classroom. Betty remarked how some things hadn’t changed (e.g. the flooring!) but how other things had. She felt that the way the staff treated the pupils now with such a caring approach was lovely ( a little different to her day).
We are so pleased that Betty was able to come in to her former school and chat to us about how things were at Fishergate circa 1948.
