The allotment is an “award-winning” local community initiative, located on Low Moor Allotment site (at the bottom of Kilburn Road, off Fulford Road).  From 2004 Allotment volunteers have worked with local schools to develop growing activities within the primary school curriculum.  The Saturday ‘Allotment Club’ will take place this year on Saturday mornings, 10am – 12 noon, starting on 15th March and continuing until the weekend of 25th / 26th October. During these sessions members, (up to twelve children, normally 7 – 12 years), garden the allotment, under the supervision and guidance of volunteer helpers.  There are currently three spare places for membership this year.
