After a year of fundraising and a generous donation from Friends of Fishergate we are pleased to announce that we now have a defibrillator in school. The defibrillator we have chosen is a Zoll AED 3 fully automatic machine (supplied by First Rescue).
It is located in the space just outside Mrs Clarke’s office and is available for emergency use when the school building is open. The defibrillator is in the process of being registered with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
We would like to say a huge thank to Friends of Fishergate and to all pupils and their families for supporting our fundraising efforts. It is because of you all that our school now has a piece of life-saving equipment on school premises.
A special thank you to Kiri Shaw (Year 6) for all her hard work in researching the best defibrillator for our school and to Craig Ward (from First Rescue) who offered valuable advice and support.
